Assist lead teachers in a variety of function, including observing, supervising, organizational duties, and optimizing the learning and play environment.
Be able to kneel, bend, squat, lift, push, pull, and carry children up to 70lbs.
Have dependable transportation.
Communicate with the Lead Teacher regarding all aspects of the children's care as well as classroom management.
Must also learn and assist with:
a. Caring with an eye for detail.
b. Understand the childhood development process.
c. Ensure kids maintain their hygiene, monitoring them health, behavioral, and emotional concerns.
d. Provide kids with age-appropriate instruction.
e. Work with parents to ensure that children are learning and socializing in a positive way.
f. Assist with sterilizing toys and play areas and other duties to ensure that the children are safe, engaging, and in a clean environment.
g. Always use appropriate language skills and tone with children.
h. Always be present in the classroom.
i. Assist with maintaining attendance reports and parent's reports.
j. Enter positive interaction with children.
k. Ensure focus on children.
l. Assist with creating and following monthly lesson plans.
m. Follow activity plan located on classroom wall.
