JOB SUMMARY:
Under general supervision, orders, receives, records, stores and issues supplies; performs miscellaneous clerical
and data entry tasks, and aids in maintenance repairs and installations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Ability to process purchase requests, maintain minor stock inventory, accept, record, sort, count and store
deliveries and inventories of materials, equipment and other supplies.
2. Ability to inspect materials upon receipt for quality and quantity, inspect shipping receipts to identify discrepancies and inspect sites to ensure contract specifications are met.
3. Ability to perform custodial duties to ensure cleanliness of warehouse facility and utility sites.
4. Ability to pick up parts from distributors, deliver parts and materials to crews in the field, and assist in maintenance installation and repairs.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:
5. Ability to perform related duties as needed or directed.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Knowledge of storeroom and stock control methods and procedures.
Knowledge of basic mathematics, i.e., calculations and concepts involving fractions, decimals, percentages,
currency, etc.
Skill in ordering, receiving, storing, and distributing parts, equipment, etc.
Ability to maintain accurate detailed records.
Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
Ability to estimate future supply needs and develop procedures for insuring adequate stock availability.
Ability to exert forces equivalent to lifting up to 100 pounds.
Ability to operate a motorized vehicle.
Ability to operate a variety of office equipment including but not limited to telephone, calculator and copier.
Ability to perform a variety of physical skills including but not limited to bending, carrying, lifting, seeing, sorting and stooping.
Qualifying Education and Experience:
High school diploma One year experience in a related field or any combination of education or experience.
Successful completion of the physical specified for the position. (Refer to Physical Standards file in Employment).
Valid Texas Driver's License, Class C.
